About the Role

Job Description

As a Machining Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting mechanical systems within our sophisticated plant. You will work on site in various locations, completing a variety of modules covering plan and preparation for machining activities. Your tasks will include ensuring accuracy to specifications, using correct tooling, work holding, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, patterns, templates, and specifications to mark out, machine high-quality complex components using a broad range of processes.">
• Inspect components produced and adjust the machining equipment or programme and tooling to ensure components meet quality requirements.">
• Work on site in various locations, completing a variety of modules covering plan and preparation for machining activities.">
• Ensure accuracy to specifications, using correct tooling, work holding, and materials.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications

You should have qualifications at GCSE level in maths, English, and science grades A-C or 5-9 (or equivalent).

Skills and Experience

You will need enthusiasm for problem-solving and motivation for a role in engineering.

Salary

The salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
