Senior Building Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our Surveying and Project Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing high-value refurbishment and development projects across our diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the planning and delivery of major refurbishment projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion
* Offer strategic building advice on tenant alterations, repairs, and dilapidations claims
* Conduct pre-acquisition due diligence and advise on refurbishment costs to feed into business plans
* Work closely with external consultants, Facilities Managers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution
* Oversee the preparation of design and contract documentation, tendering, contract administration, and financial control
* Provide comprehensive project management, from scope and budgeting through to handover

Requirements

* Proven experience in building surveying within commercial property management
* A strong leader who is comfortable directing external consultants and collaborating across teams
* MRICS qualification with a solid knowledge of property and project management
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on achieving results
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
* A creative approach to tackling complex developments and delivering value-driven solutions
* Strong commitment to health and safety, as well as financial and commercial awareness
