Job Title: Groundworks Estimator

Humres is seeking an experienced Groundworks Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our Estimating Department, you will play a crucial role in preparing groundworks tenders for new build housing developers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare groundworks tenders to the value of £20m, utilizing your expertise in roads, sewers, and groundworks.
  • Review tender scope and information, raising RFIs as necessary.
  • Conduct site visits and risk analysis to ensure accurate tender packages.
  • Interpret ground conditions from Site Investigation reports and take-off measurements using 2D & 3D software.
  • Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, reviewing outputs and programme requirements with Contracts Managers.
  • Build rates from first principles and prepare BQs in readiness for submission.
Requirements:
  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar groundworks/civils environment.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to integrate well with a small team of collaborative Estimators.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Organized with the ability to work effectively under pressure to strict deadlines.
