Mechanical Project Leader

The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee mechanical projects from initial inception to handover, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. This role involves site visits, surveys, designs, estimations, quotations, material negotiation, labor supervision, commissioning, client training, and O&M's. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in delivering large-scale AHU, Chiller, VRV, VRF, Boiler, and ventilation projects. This position is based out of Kent, with a 50/50 split between office and home work and site-based responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Project manage AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boiler, and chiller replacements and upgrades
• Manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Plan, coordinate, and execute projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to ensure project quality and safety
• Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and risk management
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the mechanical industry
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boilers, and chillers
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and MS Projects
• Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
