About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities to enhance automation outputs
  • Provide effective support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches
  • Identify root causes of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions
  • Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects, from conception to implementation
About You

We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. You will have a minimum ONC Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 qualification, and experience in maintaining automation equipment, including PLCs. You will also have a flexible approach and excellent communication skills.

A full UK driving licence is required, as you may be asked to travel to other sites on occasion.
