About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at MTrec Technical. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new products, product customisation, range extensions, and standard product improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new products from initial enquiry to production, including costing, concept and detail design, prototyping and production drawings and work instructions.
  • Provide a first-class, timely service to our internal customers and partners, including Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
  • Actively seek opportunities to develop our products and processes in order to improve the products' market appeal, profitability and quality.
  • Represent the Company by attending meetings, visiting clients' premises and conducting site surveys.
About You
  • You will have a degree in Product Design or Industrial Design, or a HNC/HND with experience in manufacturing.
  • You will have 3D design experience with some experience/knowledge of Solidworks.
  • You will have experience of design and development in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • You will have a working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • You will have a clean, full UK driving licence.
  • You will have experience of the creation of 3D visuals.
  • You will have experience of CNC Programming.
