About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Administrator to join our forward-thinking and expanding Health and Justice team at HMP/YOI Bronzefield. As a key member of our team, you will provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Healthcare team, comprising primary care, mental health, and substance misuse.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide administrative support to the Healthcare team, including booking appointments, preparing and distributing documents, and providing a telephone reception service.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including data entry and processing referrals, GP registrations, and patient subject access requests.
- To develop an understanding of smartcard usage with the NHS spine and integrate this into daily activities.
- To assist with the local induction of new employees to the team and provide support to the administration team leader and healthcare teams with coordination of meetings, note-taking, and minute-taking.

Person Specification
Essential
- GCSE level or higher (grade C or above).
- NVQ Level 2 Administration (or equivalent).
- Experience of dealing with members of the public both face-to-face and on the phone.
- Experience of working in a health or health-related environment.
Desirable
- European Computer Driving Licence.
- RSA in shorthand/typing.
- NVQ Level 3 Administration.
- At least 2 years administration experience.
