Mig Welder and Fabricator

Our company is seeking an experienced Mig welder and fabricator to join our team in Ludlow. In this role, you will work on a variety of fabrication and welding projects, including one-offs and small runs. You will be part of a friendly and helpful team and will have the opportunity to work on interesting projects, develop your skills, and take advantage of free training to attain codings.

About the Job:

  • Salary: £29,400 plus plenty of overtime available.
  • Hours: Permanent position.
  • Location: Ludlow, easily commutable from Leominster, Shrewsbury, Kidderminster, Knighton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing metal according to drawings and making jigs/fixtures.
  • Cleaning welds using rotary/hand tools.
  • Solving fabricating problems and working on larger sub-assemblies with team members.

Requirements:

  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Set up and use Mig machines.
  • Produce strong and visually pleasing welds.
  • Have good practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Observe high standards regarding Health and Safety.
