We are looking for a dedicated Senior Electrical Inspector to join our team at HMP Warren Hill. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing and inspection, with experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems and catering equipment.
The estimated salary for this role is £41,818 per annum, which includes 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. We offer a range of non-contractual benefits, including Death in Service at 4x salary, access to private GP consultations, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
About the Role
- Conduct regular electrical inspections and tests to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Identify and report any defects or issues with electrical equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment within the prison.
- Develop and implement effective inspection strategies to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
Requirements
- At least two years' experience working as a test and inspection electrician.
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation).
- C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing.
- NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
