Job Title: Associate Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our UK Environment Practice, you will be responsible for leading environmental coordination, assessment, and management on major infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the environmental outcomes of our clients' projects, and you will work closely with technical specialists to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental work on multi-disciplinary teams, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Line manage a team of environmental professionals and champion high standards of environmental performance.
  • Collate and edit information from various sources to provide clear, well-written reports.
  • Manage client needs in a confident, professional manner and lead on bid preparation and business development.
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with professional institute requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject, with Chartership mandatory.
  • Profound relevant post-graduate experience, ideally in a consultancy environment, with experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
  • Experience of leadership within multidisciplinary teams, with strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively under pressure, with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
