Occupational Health Trainee

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
About the Role: As a Trainee Occupational Health Specialist, you will assist in the delivery of occupational health services to our clients. You will undertake health surveillance and health screening, and provide health and lifestyle advice to improve the wellbeing of employees within the organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake agreed clinical activities relevant to Optima Health occupational health services such as health surveillance.
- Assist in undertaking a range of service items e.g., Driver's medicals, Well Person medicals, lung function tests, fitness tests and any other service that may be required.
- Be accountable for delivery, recording and reporting health.
- Ensure the delivery of the highest possible standards of quality assured, evidence-based practice.
- Work unsupervised at times both in the department and at other premises, delivering high standard OH services to clients allocated to their care.
- Be responsible for cleaning and stock checking clinical areas as per protocols and checklists.
- Help promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in any of the following: Sports and Exercise Science or a similar field.
- Must be happy to travel and stay away if required (expenses paid for).
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent abilities in establishing, maintaining, and developing internal and external business relationships.
- Experience and confident of working with IT systems.
- Attend regular team training and contribute towards the development of 'new ways of working'.
