Reliable Delivery Driver with a Valid UK Licence

The Royal Mail is a renowned brand providing postal delivery services to millions across the UK.
Due to increased demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source professional Delivery Drivers to support their busy operation.
About the RoleThis temporary position will commence until Christmas, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within your community.
You will start each day at the local delivery office, sorting and gathering mail for your designated route. You will then collect your allocated vehicle and hand-held computer device before delivering mail and parcels to local residents.
Shift lengths vary between 4-6 hours per day, requiring you to be on your feet for most of your time. On average, Post People cover over 25,000 steps daily.
About You- A self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
- A friendly and approachable person who displays a strong sense of community, building relationships with those you meet on your round.
Royal Mail deliver packages regardless of weather conditions, so you must enjoy working outdoors.
As this role requires extensive walking, it's essential that you are relatively fit and healthy.
You will be required to present yourself professionally and courteously at all times.
RequirementsWe prefer candidates with previous experience in customer-facing or delivery roles; however, this is not mandatory.
You will need to undergo a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.
A valid UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points is required. Unfortunately, we cannot accept drivers with IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements.
