Job Title: Apprentice Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide support to ensure Quality, Efficiency, and repeatability of process on current and new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Verification: Verify manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets.
  2. Quality Control Systems: Work alongside Quality Engineers to verify effectiveness of quality control systems.
  3. Process Development: Develop operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for processes/equipment.
  4. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to colleagues for existing and new equipment.
  5. Process Improvement: Monitor manufacturing processes, identify and justify potential improvements.
  6. Problem-Solving: Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques RCA tools such as DFMEA/PFMEA, 8D & control plans.
  7. Team Collaboration: Participate in process improvement teams to resolve issues.
  8. Continuous Professional Development: Attend training and participate in Continuous Professional Development.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: HNC Qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent work-based experience.
  2. Experience: Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, practical problem solver, ability to work individually or as a team.
