Chef Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in line with established recipes and menu items.
- Manage food production to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels throughout service periods.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety in the kitchen.
- Monitor and record food consumption and production volumes to inform inventory and ordering decisions.
- Assist in the compilation of opening and closing shift checklists to ensure a smooth service.
- Collaborate with the line manager to discuss ideas for improvement and provide coaching and training to new team members.
- Undertake relevant training and development to maintain and enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Perform ad hoc back-of-house and front-of-house duties as required to support business needs.
Chef Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 in Culinary Arts or equivalent, with a Food Hygiene Certificate at Level 2.
- Ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
