Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist - Engineering Products to join our team. This role is responsible for purchasing technical products and services to support engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify opportunities to reduce commodity costs through centralized purchasing activity, leveraging spend across multiple sites and the wider Ametek group.
- Monitor and progress open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Foster and maintain excellent supplier relationships, capturing essential information regarding quality/delivery issues for assessment of supplier KPI performance.
- Source spare parts on the open inventory market, including possible next higher assemblies for parts teardown, ensuring stock availability in compliance with company and industry guidelines.
- Act on internal purchase requisition requests and procure 'non-stock' commercial products from suppliers, utilizing the Ametek Ivalua E-procurement system to channel spend through group-wide suppliers.
- Assist in resolving delivery/quality/invoice issues, collaborating with the engineering team to cost spares, tooling, and consumables for engineering projects.
- Prior experience in purchasing technical products and services to support engineering operations.
- Familiarity with MRP purchasing and stock management systems.
- Proven procurement experience within an engineering/manufacturing/technical background, with expertise in fostering and managing supplier relationships.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, with ability to manipulate large amounts of data to produce reports and analytical results.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications.
$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
