Job Title: General Medicine Specialist



Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled General Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a General Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.



Job Responsibilities


  • Providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and other healthcare teams, to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Providing education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals


Requirements


  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Primary medical qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in General Medicine and associated specialties
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
