As the Head of Commercial Energy Policy at Ofgem, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the policy that delivers a greener, fairer energy system for the UK. This high-profile role will help reshape our network regulation to support a transformational expansion in Britain's energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive the development of policy initiatives and strategies that support Ofgem's goals.
- Collaborate closely with other teams, industry experts, and stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of policy recommendations.
- Provide visible and effective leadership for the delivery of ED and Cross Sector Policy at all phases of the RIIO-3 and ED3 programmes.
- Develop and present policy recommendations to senior leaders across Ofgem, including through policy papers, briefings, and presentations.
Requirements:
- Proven aptitude for leadership and significant experience of leading the policy development process.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate complex policy issues to non-expert audiences.
- Ability to build effective relationships with teams and stakeholders, fostering an inclusive culture that celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of colleagues.
