The Copse in Weston-Super-Mare is a rehabilitation recovery service for men and women with mental health problems. As a Rehabilitation Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in helping service users overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives.

Job Overview

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, and risk assessments. Your expertise will enable you to design and deliver specialist psychological treatments to support the care plans of service users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking high-quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
  • Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  1. BPS recognised psychology degrees
  2. HCPC registration
  3. Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
  4. Approved supervisor status within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
  5. Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
  6. Experience of applying psychological knowledge in a clinical setting
  7. Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits
  8. Previous experience of conducting research and project work
