Stafflex Education is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students in a primary school setting. This role involves providing vital assistance to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a one-on-one and group setting
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting classroom activities to meet the needs of SEN students
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment to promote student's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and report on student progress
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school setting
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting these students
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Maths and English qualification of Level 2 or above
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with special educational needs
