Job Description

The Skills for Life programme in North Ayrshire Council requires a Temporary Pupil Support Assistant to assist pupils in educational settings and provide support to parents through funded training. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain experience in educational establishments while developing their skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to pupils in various educational settings
  • Offer guidance and support to parents through in-work training
  • Maintain regular communication with assigned support regarding CV, application forms, and job searching

Placement Details

This 24-week mentored placement includes:

  • 20 hours per week, term-time
  • Paid at £12.60 per hour, the Real Living Wage
  • In-Work Support throughout the placement

Regulated Work and Requirements

Please note that this role involves Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. It is essential to note that more than 90% of time will be spent primarily at a single base or location.
