Scientific Director

Reports to the EVP, Medical & Scientific Services
Job Summary:
The Scientific Director will lead multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously, serving as the medical expert for the teams they support. They will be responsible for developing high-quality medical and commercial content that supports the strategic product positioning of their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic content, ensuring medical accuracy and accepting responsibility for scientific content in various projects.
- Anticipate client scientific content needs and proactively address those needs to ensure complete client satisfaction.
- Plan and execute project work with senior management, project, and account teams to ensure appropriate scientific support and communication.
- Develop high-quality written materials that are scientifically accurate and appropriate to the target audience.
- Manage workload to allow timelines to move forward effectively and smoothly.
- Maintain scientific integrity of content during project implementation.
Requirements:
- Doctoral-level degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) in a relevant field preferred.
- Extensive experience in medical communications, medical education, pharmaceutical marketing, medical affairs, content production, or equivalent.
- Superior communication skills and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to various audiences.
- Proficient in MS365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to foster integration, collaboration, and teamwork with account team members.
- Apply experience by demonstrating a clear understanding of evolving medical education policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Travel Requirements:
- The ability to travel and meet with clients as required to maintain effective relationships.
- 10% potential domestic/global travel.
