The estimated annual salary for this role is around £35,000-£45,000, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Job Description

We are working with an outstanding secondary school in Birmingham who are searching for a full-time qualified Science teacher. The ideal candidate will be QTS qualified and have experience working with class sizes of up to 30 students. They will also have experience planning and organising lessons that are engaging and follow the curriculum specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching classes of up to 30 pupils.
  • Have vast knowledge and understanding of the Science curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress across the academic year.
  • Encourage and motivate learning among pupils.
  • Prepare and implement lessons to a high standard.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • UK Teacher Qualification with QTS (or NQT).
  • DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in science or a similar field.
  • Class control and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
