Project Support Specialist

Job Summary
Sanctuary Group is recruiting for a Night Project Worker to provide support to children and young adults at Prices Court, Sittingbourne. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering our young people to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to enable and empower our young people to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
- Establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence.
- Assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focusing on positive outcomes to maximise clients' potential.
- Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients' independence and personal potential.
- Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable clients to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community.
- Manage the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of clients and to avoid potential risk to stakeholders and the business.
- Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults.
- Proven experience of working with relevant client groups.
- Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant client groups.
- Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients.
- Ability to keep accurate records and clearly communicate relevant information.
- Ability to make accurate simple calculations.
- Email and internet communications.
