Key Responsibilities:
  • Review clients' records prior to commencement of bookkeeping to ensure essential documents are received.
  • Enter clients' transactions onto Excel/Sage/Xero, as appropriate.
  • Reconcile various control accounts, such as bank accounts, sales ledgers, and purchase ledgers.
  • Address any queries with clients that arise during the preparation of their bookkeeping.
  • Complete and file VAT returns.
  • Maintain organized and complete filing systems of clients' paperwork.
  • Organize workload to ensure strict deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their bookkeeping affairs.
  • Communicate with HMRC VAT office when required.
Requirements:
  • AAT Qualified (or studying towards) is desirable.
  • Bookkeeping experience working with an Accountancy Practice or Self-Employed Bookkeeper.
