Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Butler Rose is delighted to have been exclusively appointed to support a Plymouth-based FMCG manufacturer in their search for a Supply Chain Manager on a permanent basis.

The role will be wide-ranging in responsibility, overseeing all elements of the supply chain and logistics activities within the organisation. The successful candidate will develop and implement all material, production, and dispatch plans, including 3PL, budget, and timelines according to business needs. They will be responsible for stock accuracy across all areas of the business, working to a JIT model, and developing and implementing the 12- and 52-week plan, creating and issuing all daily schedule plans.

The key duties of the role include:

  • Production planning and stock control using an Excel-based system
  • Managing and issuing daily plans for a multi-functional, multi-shift team
  • Overseeing storage, transfer, and planning
  • Responsible for stock accuracy and requirements
  • Delivering products consistently, on time, and within site production capabilities
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills
  • Developing, managing, and updating the planning system to ensure the needs of the business and customers are met
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal management at all levels, building positive relationships
  • Coordinating and cultivating excellent relationships with 3PLs
  • To act as the key contact with the relevant supply chain and purchasing teams for all customers of the business
  • Managing all levels of stock within the business, operating to JIT and within cash flow requirements
  • Ensuring that technical and Health and Safety requirements are met in respect of the delivery and storage of materials
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining the ordering and goods intake systems
  • To oversee the dispatch and booking of deliveries using approved hauliers and distribution centres

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar supply chain or planning role
  • Team management experience
  • Be a confident user of Excel

The package includes:

  • Salary £50,000 - £55,000
  • Permanent role
  • Benefits package including enhanced leave entitlement
  • Office-based position
