Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Town Planner to join their established multidisciplinary team in a leading Engineering Consultancy.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing planning commissions from start to finish, including liaison with clients, coordination with architecture and design teams, management of internal and external sub-consultants, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for major highway schemes, and providing support and mentorship to graduate members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage planning commissions from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Coordinate with architecture and design teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage internal and external sub-consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Prepare EIA chapters for major highway schemes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and mentorship to graduate members of the team, promoting their professional development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrable experience at Planner + level.
- Excellent working knowledge of all stages of planning and development.
- Ability to grow, take on responsibility, and use your own initiative.
- Chartered Planner status or working towards the APC.
- Relevant RTPI accredited degree in a relevant planning discipline.
