Job Title: Out of Hours Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Out of Hours Worker to join our team at Cyfannol Womens Aid. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to women and children affected by Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse, and/or Sexual Violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to women and children residing in our refuges, including assisting with daily living tasks and providing emotional support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our services, including responding to phone calls and emails, and completing administrative tasks.
  • Conduct health and safety checks and property checks to ensure the safety and security of our residents and staff.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning private bedrooms and communal areas.
  • Monitor stocks of consumables and report any needs for purchase to the manager.
  • Respond to phone calls from the Live Fear Free helpline and undertake assessments for refuge requests.
Requirements:
  • A current, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children.
