Project Manager - Subsea Flexible Umbilical Cable

KBM Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing projects from beginning to end within the Subsea Flexible Umbilical Cable team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects including scope of work, client interface and expectations, resources, budget, timelines, contract and deliverables.
  • Perform cost monitoring and control of allocated projects, producing both internal and client project progress reports.
  • Ensure all procedures and processes are rigorously adhered to throughout the project.
  • Plan all project activities within the overall project schedule, ensuring all actions and / or deliverables are allocated according to the project requirements.
  • Manage all project interfaces between clients and the company.
  • Support/mentor the teams ongoing personal development alongside the Senior Project Manager and Business Unit Manager.
  • Communicate project progress including cost to budget, schedule to plan as well as early risk assessment and mitigation plans to senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of formal project management methods, processes, procedures, techniques and tools – initiation-planning-execution-closure, Earned Value, Critical Path, MS Project, different stages of planning, risk & issue assessment, requirements analysis, estimating & costing.
  • Ability to negotiate with clients in a project environment, present commercial and technical solutions for changes to work scopes to clients and develop win-win strategies.
  • Subsea Project Management – Preferred
  • Experience in flexible cable laying systems, tensioners, reel drive systems and winches – Preferred
  • 5+ years experience in project management / engineering within O&G or an Engineering Service company – Essential
  • Experience managing a project P&L, reviewing and executing project contacts and managing clients expectations – Essential
  • Experience of cost-control and a track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget –Essential
