Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join its team at HMP Portland, working within the South West Prison Healthcare contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing a medicines management service to patients, under the supervision of a prison service pharmacist. This will involve dispensing prescriptions, supervising assistants, and undertaking stock control tasks, as well as providing a medicines optimisation service to the prison.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to training and development opportunities. Our team works closely together to deliver high-quality healthcare services, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.

About the Role:

  • Provide medicines management services to patients
  • Supervise assistants and undertake stock control tasks
  • Provide a medicines optimisation service to the prison

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
