Michael Page (UK) is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in financial services product development, particularly in the insurance industry.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or IT and a PMP certification or equivalent. They will also have at least 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on agile and waterfall methodologies.

The role requires strong organizational and project planning skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple work streams or projects simultaneously. The candidate must be able to interact with stakeholders at all levels, from senior management to project team members.

A competitive day rate of between £600-650 is offered for this role, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced project managers.

The job is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere. This flexibility is a significant advantage, especially for those who value work-life balance.

The successful candidate will lead the scoping, planning, implementation, and execution of work streams within the business transformation program. They will work closely with the Program Manager, Product Team, and stakeholders to implement and maintain robust delivery, dependency, and prioritization processes and controls.

Key responsibilities include developing working project plans, schedules, and tracking progress against established milestones and success criteria. The candidate must also coordinate internal resources and external providers & delivery partners, ensuring timely project completion.

Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, as well as proactively addressing any challenges that may arise during project execution, are critical components of this role.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders. They must also ensure adherence to project management best practices, processes, and methodologies, providing innovative ways to improve project management processes continuously.

Evaluating project outcomes and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of project delivery and identifying opportunities for improvement are essential aspects of this position.
