About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain the optimal condition of our laundry facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. As part of our team, you will be responsible for planning and carrying out corrective maintenance, monitoring equipment performance, and reporting any issues that may arise.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Carry out routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operation.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop and implement effective maintenance plans.
  • Authorize hot work permits and compile operational inspection instructions for machines.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization within the premises, including storage areas for spare parts and tools.
  • Monitor production activities and report any deviations from expected outcomes.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



Essential Skills and Qualifications:



  • A formal mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Over 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a laundry or textile environment.
  • Proficiency in basic IT programs, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • A valid UK driving license and hot work card or equivalent.
