We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our central data team at Jet2.com and Jet2Holidays as we continue our journey towards becoming a fully data-driven organisation and embed a data-first culture across our business.

Reporting to our Data Governance Manager, your key responsibilities will be assisting in the rollout of an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a key focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • You will drive the adoption and implementation of an enterprise data catalogue solution to document data assets across our business, including identification and upskilling of data owners, curation of the catalogue, and embedding usage of the catalogue across our analytics teams and tooling.
  • Defining data standards and data quality rules working in collaboration with data delivery teams and self-service analytics users to ensure standards are appropriate and embedded into delivery practices.
  • Working with stakeholders across data, security, legal, and the business to develop and implement new and existing data policies around the use and management of data both at source and for analytical purposes.
  • You will assist in the set-up and running of a Data Governance Steering Group and co-chair associated working groups to drive the adoption of data governance across the organisation.

What you will have:

  • Experience working in data governance-related roles, which could include data policy development, data catalogue, or data quality tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you will be expected to proactively engage with a wide variety of stakeholders from across our business covering both technical and non-technical roles across all levels of seniority up to and including Director and C-Suite.
