Academic Sustainability Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Queens University's sustainability efforts and support the University's Net Zero 2040 ambitions. As an Academic Officer, you will play a key role in embedding sustainability across the University and driving forward the University's sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver key programs to embed Sustainable Development Goals within the curriculum.
- Support the development of extra-curricular programs, including sustainability literacy training and 'Living Lab' opportunities.
- Collaborate with academic partners across the campus to foster innovation and sustainability.
- Develop teaching materials and support the teaching of Environmental Sustainability and Development (ESD).
- Plan and deliver events that promote sustainability and environmental awareness.
The successful candidate must have:
- A degree in a relevant subject or substantial relevant experience working in a similar role.
- Substantial relevant experience in a role related to environmental sustainability and/or teaching in a relevant field.
- Experience of developing teaching materials and planning events.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the holistic nature of sustainability.
