Location: UK

Salary: £25,350 / £12.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am- 1pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electroplating Technician to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring chemical solutions, implementing visual controls, and managing the effluent plant process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze chemical solutions to ensure optimal plating processes.
  • Implement and maintain visual controls to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Manage the effluent plant process, including sampling and analysis.
  • Plan and coordinate plating activities to meet production deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve plating-related problems, including equipment malfunctions and chemical imbalances.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Operate and maintain electroplating equipment, including metal coating machines.
  • Apply metal coatings to various components, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Prepare components for plating by cleaning, degreasing, and masking.
  • Adjust concentrations and temperatures to achieve optimal plating results.
  • Inspect plated components for defects, including thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of plating processes, including chemical usage and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in electroplating, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of electroplating principles and chemical handling procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
