Quantity Surveyor Opportunity at Kier Construction

Kier Construction is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our North East business. The successful candidate will be aligned with a new build, mixed-use leisure and arts facility in Blyth, working closely with the commercial lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mitigate cost and risk on projects to enhance value for money.
  • Organize project division into component work packages for procurement and assess returns from sub-contractors.
  • Negotiate with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in quantity surveying.
  • Prior quantity surveying experience gained within the main contractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of delivering under NEC / JCT Contract conditions.
  • Confidence in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.

This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a key role in project management and cost control.
