Job Title: SEN Support Assistant

Location: Richmond

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with mainstream primary schools in Richmond on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with speech and language difficulties or behavioural issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary school setting
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Special Educational Needs or a related field
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly those with speech and language difficulties or behavioural issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
