We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Health Engineer to join our team at Ramboll. As a key member of our Buildings team, you will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of water services, above and below ground drainage, and fire suppression systems for a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, with a focus on public health engineering.
- Contribute to the overall design and delivery of projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for digital automation and optimization of building systems, interfaces, and component parts.
- Monitor the implementation of design throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concepts to site visits.
- Liaise and interact with other UK Building Services teams and Overseas Resourcing Centres to deliver projects across various sectors.
- Help manage technical risk, be aware of our scope of services, and assist in fee proposals and resourcing.
- Provide pastoral care for younger Public Health Engineers in your local office.
- Be a core influencer of our team's public health design skills, reducing risk and improving efficiency in low and net zero carbon design solutions.
- Proactively pursue continuous professional development, including chartership with a recognized institution, and promote the field of public health engineering.
To succeed in this role, you must have a solid grounding in engineering principles and an inquisitive nature, with enthusiasm for the built environment. You will be a strong communicator, able to make complex ideas simple, and possess a high attention to detail.
- For security clearance, you must have been in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant subject, or equivalent.
- Previous experience leading and coordinating project delivery, with a focus on public health engineering.
- Forward thinking and enthusiastic about digital design innovation and 'smart design' in the construction arena.
- Strong technical knowledge in public health and fire suppression, including water services, above ground drainage, and rainwater disposal systems.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, and Revit.
