Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Galaxy. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our proof-of-stake validators, Bitcoin mining support, and custody solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our blockchain infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in infrastructure, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools to ensure the health, performance, and stability of our blockchain infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, and recovery processes.
  • Assist the Bitcoin mining team with the setup and management of cloud components, VMWare, and other virtualization technologies.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all aspects of our infrastructure, including access controls, encryption, and network security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE/DevOps, with a focus on web3/blockchain technologies.
  • Familiarity with Bitcoin mining operations and supporting infrastructure.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM, Docker).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
  • Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and network security.
