Senior Planner Job Description

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team in Yorkshire. As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing programmes for rail and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed programmes for existing projects
  • Update and monitor progress against contract requirements
  • Analyse and introduce changes to programmes
  • Produce and communicate programme information in various formats
  • Collaborate with operational teams on planning, risk, and commercial issues
  • Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes
  • Assimilate and interpret tender documentation
  • Resource and cost load programmes
  • Review programme robustness
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest construction techniques
  • Conduct analytical assessments of programmes
  • Establish and maintain project controls reporting
Requirements:
  • Civil engineering qualification to HND level
  • Advanced P6 user
  • Previous rail experience with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters
  • Experience and understanding of programming techniques
  • Able to produce short and medium-term programmes
  • Sound knowledge of typical production rates
