About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/Visual Designer to join our UX Team at AJ Bell. As a key member of our design team, you will play a prominent role in shaping the visual look and feel of our award-winning platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design leadership: Contribute to the development of our overall design strategy and influence decision-making at senior levels.
  • Creativity: Develop and implement innovative design solutions that enhance the user experience.
  • App-focused design: Create UI elements for App/mobile across iOS and Android, with a deep understanding of interaction design and user psychology.
  • Design Systems: Develop and maintain components in a Figma library, contributing to the development of our new design guidelines and component libraries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with executive and cross-functional teams to build and nurture team collaboration.
  • Decision making: Make informed and strategic decisions in the design process, balancing user needs, business considerations, and creative goals.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas, rationales, and strategies to various audiences.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for UX in the wider business, identifying opportunities to showcase UX through blog posts, workshops, and other initiatives.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
  • Naturally creative and confident communicator.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a UX/UI role.
  • Expertise in prototyping software (Figma).
  • Deep understanding of user psychology and accessibility.
  • Experience in guiding junior members of the team.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
