About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children and Young People's Community Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who have life-limiting conditions, providing holistic nursing care and support to them and their families in their own homes or other environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality, individualised palliative care to children and young people with complex medical needs, promoting empowerment and advocacy for them and their families.
  • To work collaboratively with the end-of-life team leader to plan and deliver end-of-life care to children on our caseload.
  • To provide emotional support and advice to children, young people, and their parents/carers, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Requirements
  • RSCN/RN (Child) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Ability to advocate and empower vulnerable young children and their families.
  • Flexible and adaptable to challenging and complex changing environments.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:

Location and Working Hours

This role is based in Bristol and requires flexibility to work across various locations within the city. The successful candidate will be expected to work a standard full-time schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
