About the Role

Ardmore Group is seeking a highly skilled M&E Manager to join our team. As an M&E Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical services on our projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Procure materials and oversee the planning and coordination of M&E services.
  2. Manage and oversee any further mechanical or electrical subcontractors appointed throughout the duration of the scheme.
  3. Witness and sign off on all heating and cold water testing before close-up of walls and ceilings.
  4. Conduct quality assurance of the installation of all mechanical and electrical packages.
  5. Witness all testing, including inhibitor flushing, chlorination flushing, flow rates tests, and MVHR extract tests.
  6. Attend all design team meetings.
  7. Chair weekly M&E subcontractor meetings with the project manager in attendance.
  8. Prepare and issue weekly reports on M&E progress and contractors on site to the project manager.
  9. Ensure all products installed by contractors are fit for purpose, compliant, and meet the employer's requirements.
  10. Ensure subcontractors employed carry out works as per their agreed contract scope documents.
  11. Ensure all subcontractors and site operatives work to their method statements, which are reviewed alongside the health and safety department to ensure the methodology is the safest way of carrying out the works.
  12. Ensure all operatives are signed up to risk assessments and daily safe starts.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds Electrical Level 3 or NVQ 3 in Plumbing and Air Ventilation.
  • SMSTS.
  • City & Guilds Edition 18 (Wiring).
  • Knowledge of QA processes, ideally using Fieldview.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in M&E.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, including Health and Safety requirements, building regulations, and NHBC site-specific requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including UKPS, UKPN, and BT fibre requirements for installations.
