We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to lead our team in the UK. As a key member of our Transport Planning team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and sustainable transportation systems for our clients.

Candidate Profile:

  • Personal responsibility for your professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Attention to detail in producing high-quality designs, reports, and drawings that meet client expectations.
  • An ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships, fostering strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in IT and software skills, including TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, and AUTOCAD.
  • Developing client relationships and attracting external work opportunities through proactive business development and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements, including mentoring junior team members.
  • Preparation of Travel Plans and Travel Plan Coordination, assisting and guiding junior team members.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Liaison with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities, as required, to ensure effective project delivery.
  • To ensure that all assigned tasks/jobs are delivered on-time and to budget, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
  • To check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge and skills.
  • Support Team Leaders in the delivery of comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters from preliminary advice/feasibility work.
  • Undertaking site appraisals/visits and designing surveys, through to providing input to written reports and presentational material.
  • Ensuring that all electronic and paper files on projects are kept up-to-date, with a focus on data management and organization.
  • Assistance with other related tasks, as required by your Team Leader, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
