Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class 1 Driver to join our team at the Genuit Group. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles and equipment, delivering goods to customer premises across the UK, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Drive company vehicles and operate equipment in a safe and proper fashion, adhering to company policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Delivery and Logistics: Deliver goods to customer premises, ensuring service levels are maintained and all documentation is completed and signed as required.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform vehicle, load, and auxiliary equipment checks prior to operation, reporting any defects immediately.
  • Accident Reporting: Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure.
  • Compliance and Safety: Comply with vehicle security and standing instructions at all times, ensuring all product is loaded and secured appropriately for travel on the public highway.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Current CPC and possess an LGV C + E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
  • Documentation: Digital Tachocard and an up-to-date Drivers Qualification Card.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.
  • Attention to Detail: Diligent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Manual Work: Ability to perform manual tasks, including loading and unloading of goods from vehicles, stacking of empty pallets, coupling and uncoupling of trailers, and opening and closing of vehicle curtains.
Benefits and Working Hours
  • Compensation: £15.24 per hour plus additional allowances.
  • Working Hours: 50 hour average week, nights out included in this role.
