Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at D R Newitt & Associates. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing and onboard new suppliers from the UK and EU, including price negotiations. You will also maintain and develop existing supplier relationships, ensuring stock is OTIF for production and limiting waste. Additionally, you will manage the core purchasing budget and be responsible for utilities and new machinery purchasing & contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and onboard new suppliers from the UK and EU, including price negotiations
• Maintain and develop existing supplier relationships, supplier visits etc
• Ensure stock is OTIF for production, limiting waste
• Manage the core purchasing budget
• Also responsible for utilities and new machinery purchasing & contracts

Requirements:

• Excellent skills in communications, negotiations and relationships
• A background in food manufacturing and purchasing
