About the Role

Our Manufacturing Site Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities. With multiple shifts operating 24/7, we require a skilled professional to optimize equipment performance and maintain high-quality standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will conduct regular equipment inspections and perform scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • In the event of machinery failure, you will promptly respond to incidents, diagnose root causes, and execute necessary repairs or coordinate with external experts if required.
  • To boost productivity and efficiency, you will perform routine machine adjustments and changes, minimizing downtime whenever possible.
  • By closely monitoring and calibrating equipment, you will guarantee accuracy, quality, and adherence to strict health and safety guidelines.
  • You will collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvements and contribute your technical expertise to increase overall productivity.
  • You will keep precise records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Adhering to our strict health and safety protocols and company policies is essential.
  • Staying informed about industry advancements and new technologies relevant to this position is crucial for success.
About You

We're seeking an individual with:

  • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Detailed knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in the FMCG sector.
  • Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment.
  • A proactive attitude towards maintenance and a commitment to achieving exceptional equipment reliability.
  • A solid understanding of HACCP principles, with IEE certification up to the 17th edition being beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • The ability to make swift, confident decisions.
  • A results-driven attitude and a strong work ethic.
