About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our Education staff team at the North East Autism Society. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with autism to access highly personalised programmes of study, helping them to achieve their individual aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support children and young people with autism
  • Develop and implement highly personalised programmes of study to meet the individual needs of each child or young person
  • Build positive relationships with staff and pupils, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be enthusiastic, use your own initiative, and have a drive and resilience for what can be a demanding role

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher with experience of working with children and young people with autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
