FitzRoy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at our Sopwith Croft Service in Castle Vale. Our service provides complex care and in-depth support for adults with learning disabilities and autism, often with complicated needs including physical and mental impairments.

We are looking for exceptional and enthusiastic individuals to work in our Birmingham services, providing support and encouragement to our service users. The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behavior and be able to carry out everyday tasks, including support and encouragement with personal care and feeding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and encouragement to service users with personal care and feeding
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as cooking and cleaning
  • Participating in community activities that promote a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autism
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
