Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ESOL Teacher to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering effective courses to adult learners in community settings, with a focus on promoting progression to further learning and employment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver courses in ESOL, incorporating digital skills and employability, to meet the needs of learners with various barriers to learning.
  • Assess the abilities and needs of adult learners and incorporate this into course planning, lesson planning, and delivery.
  • Produce course materials that are appropriately contextualised and respond to the needs of learners.
  • Work effectively with learners, team leaders, and curriculum managers to develop the ESOL curriculum and contribute to quality improvement processes.
  • Attend professional development and contribute to the development of the post and post holder.

Requirements:

  • Substantial adult teaching experience in community or FE college settings.
  • Substantial experience of working with hard-to-reach and vulnerable adult learners in the community and their families.
  • A range of experiences teaching ESOL to learners in community settings.
  • Proven experience of working in partnership with voluntary and community organisations.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and peripatetically across the borough.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to own continuing professional development.

Additional Information:

  • Level 3 teaching qualification such as PTLLS or AET is acceptable when presented with relevant teaching and industry experience.
