We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Operator to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Process & Pumping department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • React to Real-Time Surveillance (RTS) alarms and pollution incidents
  • Gather evidence at suspected pollution incidents
  • Lift, check, and unblock pumps
  • Take samples, examine the results, and troubleshoot any issues impacting sample results
  • Raise follow-on work for internal support services

Requirements:

  • Full training on all mandatory courses will be provided to allow you to work safely
  • A practical mindset, with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers
  • Comfortable taking a hands-on approach to work tasks
  • Resilient self-starter with good time management and the ability to efficiently manage your own workload
  • Prepared to question unsafe working practices and report them to management
  • Good problem-solver, decision maker, communicator, and one who displays exemplary attitudes and behaviors
  • Previous experience of using IT systems such as Word is essential
  • A full valid driving license is a requirement of this role (with no more than 6 points on your license)

Location:

Work Type:

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours, weekend, and bank holiday working as part of a structured work pattern.
